What is a Guardian Home?
Our guardian home program allows us to grow and diversify our program to continue to better the breed without owning a vast amount of dogs in our home. Becoming a guardian home gives you the opportunity to have one of our puppies as a family pet while they remain in our program.
As a guardian home, you are the permanent home for one of our breeding prospects while they remain in our program. Once they are retired from breeding, full ownership is transferred to the family.
What happens if I don’t want my dog to be bred?
Aaliyah’s Dobies retains full legal ownership of the dog until they are retired from our breeding program, and ownership is legally transferred to the guardian. Guardians have a legal obligation to follow the contract. The dogs selected for our breeding program are very high-quality and have been carefully selected to fulfill our breeding goals to produce Doberman Pinschers with great health and temperament.
How do I become a guardian home?
Please feel to reach out to us by text, call, or email to schedule an interview to find out if you are a good candidate for being a guardian home. There are special requirements for this.
How do I know if you have a guardian puppy available?
If we decide to keep any puppies back from our program to add to the program, they will be posted with an opportunity.
Can we buy our dog from the guardian program?
No, we do not allow our guardian homes to buy the dog out from breeding. The dogs are carefully selected with purpose to fulfill our breeding goals.
